Meat proxy.
This is a term that I first encountered in a blog post from Nicklas Gruhn, asking software engineer not becoming one.
A meat proxy would be someone who just is just passing along answers from generative AIs, mainly LLMs.
Don’t be a meat proxy, is a general philosophy about not turning our brain off when using generative AI, and offloading our entire capacity to reflect, and take decision to them.
When thinking about this, it sounds obvious to most, but in practice, complacency or just straight laziness make it a reality that we encounter more and more of this phenomenon.
This is just a call for anyone, to respect oneself enough, and to love oneself enough, to make the effort necessary to work with gen AI, which is an extraordinary tool.
